WE ARE STUPID MONDAY RECORDS
Stupid Monday Records is an independently queer-owned record label based in Austin, TX, founded in 2020. Rooted in the sounds of punk, grunge, indie, and the broader alternative-rock spectrum, Stupid Monday Records is a bold, forward-thinking label amplifying queer, trans, and marginalized voices in music.
We must work together to change the competitive atmosphere into a space where anyone can feel empowered and supported by their coworkers and collaborators.

As the founder and CEO of Stupid Monday Records, I am driven by a passion for reshaping the music industry to spotlight voices that often go unheard. Our mission is clear: to amplify queer, trans, and marginalized artists who celebrate identity and authenticity while challenging musical and cultural norms.
With a commitment to championing diverse lived experiences, I’ve dedicated my career to creating a platform where boundary-pushing artists can thrive. Stupid Monday Records is more than a label—it’s a space for innovation, representation, and unapologetic self-expression, and I’m proud to lead this movement of transformative storytelling through music.
Joseph Lagrand
As the Creative Director for Stupid Monday Records, I've been focused on shaping the label’s vision and ideas since its inception—back when it was just a casual conversation between two friends in a car. I strongly believe in the company's mantra to fight Racism, Sexism, Homophobia and Transphobia by empowering underrepresented artists through bold, authentic style and artistic expression.
With a background spanning the Music, Design and Fashion industry, I look forward to helping new emerging artists craft visuals and products that are as dynamic and authentic as their sound. For me it’s all about turning music into a complete cultural statement.
Alex Acuna
As A&R Director and a founding member of Stupid Monday Records, I bring over two decades of experience from show booking to touring and performing in west coast indie, emo, and shoegaze bands. Over the years, I've worked closely with SMR artists Absolute Future, Franklin Gothic, Miaz, and Aly Canto, contributing both as a musician and writer.
Deeply aligned with the label's mission of amplifying queer, trans, and marginalized voices, I am passionately committed to discovering artists who challenge musical and cultural boundaries. With a keen ear for authenticity, I continue to scout for emerging performers who are ready to redefine the sonic landscape and share their uncompromising stories.
